It’s now a race between Judson Roberts and George R R Martin.
Ironically, a day or so after you wrote this, I read a news article about Martin, in which he was quoted as describing the book he has been struggling to finish for so many years as the “curse of his life.” I understand and empathize with his feelings. I’m still hoping and planning to break the curse.
I read the first three books of the Strongbow Saga as they released in 2006, 2007, and 2008. I loved them so very much as a young tween/teen (11,12, and 13 respectively) and I still think about them today. Over the years I have re read the first 3 almost as much as I re read the LOTR and the Hobbit. These books were a key point in my formative years, so much so that even while sitting in the vast deserts of the middle east in my early 20’s I sat down to read the series one more time. There’s still dusty finger prints and smudges on a few of the pages. I was not aware of the 4th book, and will be picking that up soon to re read the series again before the release of the 5th. I appreciate the world you built and look forward to reading it, whether that’s a year from now, 5 or even 10. I’ll be here. I wish you and your family happiness and good health.
